Military style fashion has been huge for some time now, and for good reason. Its can be very wearable, affordable, and always looks polished. While I will still never get over any of my military pieces, the style its self has evolved into what Balmain describe to be "Warrior" more additude and wildness can be expected. Ancient warlords and kings have stormed the imagination of the fashion world, and elements of military history have been reinterpreted with a modern - often futuristic and fierce - twist.

Think ancient Egypt and Rome, but lets not get this confused with the one shoulder grecian look because that is so not what i'm getting at. Look out for;
Metal plating! (gold is oh so good)
Tunics; especially in leather!
Chain-mail inspired detailing..
Tribal inspired motifs.

Invest in accessories that will give any outfit a warrior edge; like studded leather belts, new and edgier takes on the gladiator sandal, jewellery based on ancient cultures.

A to Zoe

I have increasingly started to follow and look out for Rachel Zoe, her personal style is really quite something which is no wonder so many celebreties resort to using her expertise and style. Everything she wears is so simple yet so what i perseive to be 'cool'. Although Zoe may be one of the most internationally known stylists of her time, celebrity magazines, blogs and websites continue to put her down about things which are nothing to do with her profession, or what Zoe stands for.


lets get this into perspective, she has dressed some of the most sought after celebreties in our time, Anne Hathalway, Eva Mendes, Cameron Diaz, Liv Tyler, Demi Moore, Lindsay Lohan, Kate Hudson, Misha Barton, ,Sienna Miller and OHMYGOD.. does the list go on!? in a nutshell some of the best dressed Girls to date.

Considering Rachels profession is a stylist i find all this horrible gossip about her to be ridiculous, next magazines will be spreading rumors about the stylists makeup artist.. countless comments have been made about her weight and how HORRIBLE she looks.. ohkay she does look shocking in some photos, obviously there disorder and writing that someone with such a disorder looks "shocking, haggard and horrible" is really not helpful. Quotes i found on blogs such as " wondering if I’m the only one who can’t get over the self-important nonsense that is rachel zoe.” are petty. THIS WOMAN, who has written a book, had her own Television show, hosted fundraisers and sold her OWN jewellry to support Ovarian Cancer.. and is on the way to make her own fashion label must really hate her job of styling other people if shes so "self important".

Rachel Zoe, ive never seen you in a bad outfit- keep doing what your doing and keep the inspiration coming.

Too late for a resolution?

January 4th 2010; Too late for a new years resolution. This year the most common question that has come about my busy life is "whats your new years resolution" and whilst i feel someone disapointed i didnt make one... I roll my eyes at the thought of thinking one up. I've decided its never too late to make a resolution and anytime can be the right time. So too make up for my 'laziness' of not resolving anything at all, I will make 4 resolutions for being a whole 4 days late.
